At the Teatro alla Scala in Milan from Stravinskij to Djagilev, from Vaslav Nijinskij, choreographer of the first “Sagra”, to his sister Bronislava Nijinska, author of “Les Noces”, from the Ballets Russes to Wayne McGregor.

After the exceptional success of his ballet “Woolf Works” in 2019, Wayne McGregor returns to the Teatro alla Scala with “AfteRite + LORE“, a diptych of works that revisit the iconic works of Igor ‘Stravinskij “Le Sacre du printemps” and ” Les noces “. The evening-event renews and deepens the association of La Scala and its corps de ballet with the super-awarded choreographer and his extraordinary artistic vision, his “alien” poetics, his incessant conceptual and dynamic research and exploration, inspired by the innovator by the sign and with a unique style.

Wayne McGregor returns to the Teatro alla Scala with “AfteRite + LORE” with world premiere at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, a magnificent and unique ballet

Wayne McGregor assigns the national debut of “AfteRite” to the Scala Company, his first creation, in 2018, for the American Ballet Theater, a new and original interpretation of one of the scores that changed the music of the twentieth century, thanks to the strength of rhythms obstinate and irregular, “Le Sacre du printemps” by Igor ‘Stravinskij. However, McGregor’s inexhaustible creativity did not stop and his journey into the music of the Russian naturalized American composer has led today to an unprecedented, highly anticipated appointment with “Les Noces”, another milestone of the last century, but above all world premiere destined for stage of the Piermarini.
