Another successful edition of the “Ballerinas in Red” project has reached the moment of announcing and delivering the special prizes. With the support of its partners, and together with them, Ballet Magazine Romania thus offers to the participants not only the joy of participating in a contest with international participation but also numerous special prizes, worth hundreds of Euros!
Launched with the occasion of International Dance Day under the auspices of the International Theater Institute, “Ballerinas in Red, 2021” is the most spectacular media projects that promote choreographic art in Central and Eastern Europe. Besides “Ballerinas in Red, 2021” was one of the many projects carried out globally by ITI for the celebration of the International Dance Day, on April 29.

The awarding of special prizes has started 4 months ago when the contest has been launched! Thus, the very first special prize was the one offered by ATOM & Alexandra Aldea, in the spring of this year, with the occasion of the Easter holidays, at the moment of launching the “Ballerinas in Red, 2021” project.
Thus, the special prize – awarded for sharing on social media, the Ballet Magazine post related to the competition with the most beautiful message sent to the public on the occasion of International Dance Day. The prize was then brought by the Easter Bunny to Mariana Neamțu.

The first prizes from the “special prizes” section will go to the 12 most voted participants in the contest. Thus, in addition to the opportunity to be featured in the “Ballerinas in Red 2022, by Ballet Magazine Romania” calendar, the 12 winners of the public vote will also receive a gift containing a set of Ivatherm cosmetics.

The winners of places 1, 2, and 3 in the “Ballerinas in Red, 2021” contest also win three tourist packages provided by “Casa de sub munte” pension.
And to further reward and encourage the participants who had the most votes from the public, the second series of “special prizes” will go to the occupants of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the order of the number of votes received in the contest.
Thus, 1st place – Ursu Antonia from Bucharest City Ballet school, 2nd place – Delia Ducu, from the same school, and 3rd place – Sofia Vranescu, representative of Chisinau College of Choreography, are the happy winners of a tourist package offered by “Casa de sub munte” pension in an exceptional location at the foot of the Făgăraș Mountains in Romania.
The package consists of two nights of free accommodation on 4 & 5 October 2021, and all the additional tourist facilities available at no extra cost. The details are to be sent directly between the prize winners and “Casa de sub munte”, the Ballet Magazine partner.

“Ballerinas in Red, 2021”, the most successful photos! The special prize offered by the Sibiu Ballet Theater
Many beautiful and expressive photos we had the opportunity to see among the approximately 100 photos entered in the contest! However, we could not fail to notice, and therefore not to award, some of the photographs that were distinguished in particular by the expressiveness, the quality of the artistic act but also by the quality of the photography … in an attempt to recognize also the photographer’s merits!
In order to do this, the Ballet Magazine team has made a selection of the most spectacular photos submitted, and with the support of the Sibiu Ballet Theater, awarded the following participants:
The selected contestants are thus the winners of the special opportunity offered by the Sibiu Ballet Theater, to participate for a week in the daily program of studies and rehearsals of the Sibiu troupe, along with its members and under the coordination of choreographers and masters with whom the Sibiu Ballet Theater collaborates.
The winners of the special prize offered by the Sibiu Ballet Theater will have the opportunity to have a special experience with one of the most dynamic and spectacular ballet troupes in Romania, under the coordination of top choreographers and masters of Romanian and international ballet, such as Adela Floricioiu, Aleisha Gardner, Mehmet Balkan, Valentin Barteș or Alexander Mishutin!

“Ballerinas in Red, 2021”, a special award for a special child, offered by “ZAVIA by Andreea Zamfir” and the ballet school “Honey Dance Studio”
Another special prize goes to one of the most special participants in the “Ballerinas in Red, 2021” contest, namely Raluca Avram, representative of the Royal Dance Academy ballet school in Cluj-Napoca! Raluca is one of the members of the dance troupe that is part of the “Ballet Therapy” project, a spectacular project dedicated to dancers with disabilities, organized by Daiana Jelescu! In addition to the well-deserved congratulations, Raluca Avram also receives the special prize offered by the creative house “ZAVIA by Andreea Zamfir” and the ballet school “Honey Dance Studio“, respectively a stage costume that will be tailor-made!

“Ballerinas in Red, 2021” #boysdancetoo! The special prize for the two male appearances in the competition, offered by Dance Planet ballet school
Although there were no restrictions for boys, there were only two male appearances in the competition: Dragoș Grămadă, representing the Dance Planet Academy ballet school, and Gabriel Chiappetta, representative of the “Ballet Studio School” in Italy, with the photo made by the R7FOTODANZA studio. Both photos are of very high quality, both technically and artistically!
The two boys present in the contest thus receive the special prizes offered by the Dance Planet ballet school and Dance Motion, respectively a voucher with a 50% discount for enrollment in the Dance Motion study program and a voucher with one month free entry to all courses offered by Dance Planet ballet school.
“Dance Planet” ballet school offers courses with teachers who are soloists of the Bucharest National Opera, multiple champions in rhythmic gymnastics or choreographers known internationally. The school is CID-Unesco accredited and at the pedagogical level is certified in teaching for years 1,2 and 3 at the Russian Ballet Academy Bali.
Dance Motion study program is aimed at young dancers between the ages of 10 and 18, and offers workshops in ballet, contemporary dance or jazz. It is addressed to all ballerinas and dancers who study choreographic art in public or private institutions.

Ballerinas in Red 2021, the first and most spectacular media project in Central and Eastern Europe
With an avalanche of distributions – over 140,000, made around the world (from Europe, through the two Americas to Asia and South Africa), the most spectacular photography contest dedicated to supporting and promoting young dancers, ended on July 31, with almost 100 competitors entered.
Although most of them were from Romania, over 30 competitors came from Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Switzerland, Estonia, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Great Britain and the United States.
Ballerinas in Red 2021 in numbers! 100 participants, 40 nominated photographers, 30 ballet schools and over 140.00 distributions!
Floria Capsali Choreography High School in Bucharest, Octavian Stroia Choreography High School in Cluj, Dance Planet Academy and Bucharest City Ballet are the schools that had the most representatives in the competition, but in this chapter we can not fail to notice the Dance Theater Polly schools in Tallinn (Estonia), Royal Ballet Center Tebinf Tinggi (Indonesia) or Columbia Youth Ballet (United States).
At the same time, over 40 photographers were nominated as authors of the participating photos! Each of them benefited from the opportunity to promote their activity through the links available in the profile of the participants.
